Making the most of your Angelyte Candles. Angelyte candles are 100% soy wax.

Candles require care in order to get the best, longest and safest burning time.

As all our candles are made to order and hand poured, we strongly recommend you don't light your candle for a minimum of 1 week from receiving your candle. This ensures the candle has set entirely.

Remove all packaging before lighting your new Angelyte Candle

The wick must be trimmed before the first burn and subsequently before every burn. Keep the wick trimmed to 4 - 5mm, or the width of your index finger.

Place your candles on a flat heat resistant surface.

Before burning your Angelyte Candle, remove any wick debris and keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings or any combustible material.

The first time you burn your Angelyte Candle, burn the candle until the wax melts to the edge of the container. This creates a memory for the candle and the next time you light your Angelyte Candle it will continue to burn to the edge and all the way down rather than tunnelling.

Never leave a candle burning longer than 3-4 hours at a time, if left for longer, the flame of the candle will become larger and therefore the candle will burn quicker. (Tea Lights are an exception). The bigger the flame, the quicker it burns!

Never leave a burning candle unattended

Keep out of reach of children and pets

If the candle looks like it is going to burn unevenly, try rotating the candle as it may be affected by slight draughts. This way the candle may eventually re-balance itself.

A candle snuffer is a safe way to extinguish candles they also avoid wax splatters

Burn times can vary according to the burning environment

Burn times are always approximate but can sometimes actually be longer than shown

A candle flame may generate significant heat so always allow a gap of at least 60cm above and position your candle well away from combustible materials

Tea Lights

Place in a candle holder. Light and enjoy!

Melts

Ensure the oil burner dish is clean, dry and free from any cracks

Light a tea light candle and place it underneath the dish

Do not light the melt directly; it is not a candle as it has no wick.

Once the tea light is extinguished the melt will harden to be reused at a later date

Remember to remove packaging before placing the melt in the oil burner

You must not add water or oils to the dish when using a melt

There is no danger in the dish burning dry when using melts as the wax does not evaporate

When replacing melts - If the melt does not slide out of the dish easily, wait until the wax has become completely cold, you can do this by placing the burner in the fridge for a few minutes as the wax will shrink a little. This will allow the melt to slide out easily

Melts leave no residue of water, oil or burn stains on your burner
